About F Stop Moments
Behind the Lens with Colin Taylor
I’ve always been drawn to the quieter side of photography - catching the unscripted moments that often pass unnoticed.
For me, weddings aren’t about staging or direction; they’re about observation, rhythm, and connection. I work quietly, watching light and people, waiting for the point where both align.
Before founding F Stop Moments, my work spanned engineering and architectural design - two disciplines that introduced me to see structure, balance and the way light defines space. Over time, photography became the constant: a way to slow down and interpret what’s happening in front of me.
When I’m not photographing weddings, I love the outdoors. Landscape and travel keep my eye fresh; they remind me that every shot is a brief moment in time, place and feeling.

F Stop Moments grew from a simple idea: to bring a more relaxed and documentary style to weddings. Each image should help to tell part of a story.
My aim is for couples to feel their photographs belong to them, not to a photographer’s formula.
